Advanced Pet Medicine in a Friendly Neighborhood Atmosphere
At Indian Hills Animal Clinic, we offer pet wellness care based on the belief that prevention is the best means to protect the well-being of your pet while minimizing the lifetime cost of care. This includes comprehensive semi-annual physical exams, laboratory work, nutritional counseling, specialized care for senior-aged pets, balanced vaccines, microchip pet identification, and a variety of other veterinary services.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Care Credit and will complete necessary forms for pet insurance. We also accept checks, cash, and all major credit cards.
Referral Policy
If the hospital’s veterinarians deem that your pet could benefit from further consultation or extended specialized care, we will refer you to highly qualified and experienced specialists. Fortunately, we are located close to many board-certified specialists in a wide array of medical fields.
We refer to the highest quality of orthopedic specialists at Veterinary Surgery of Birmingham for complicated orthopedic diseases and injury. Dr. Tony Balagus and Dr. David Dismukes are board-certified orthopedic surgeons on staff.
For complex ophthalmic conditions, we refer patients to Veterinary Eye Care of Bessemer, Alabama. Dr. Susan Nelms is a board-certified ophthalmologist. If additional internal medicine consultation and support are needed, we refer pet owners to Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Community Involvement
We take pride in being a dedicated community member in Tuscaloosa, Northport, and the surrounding areas. The staff at Indian Hills Animal Clinic has been recognized for helping Tuscaloosa tornado victims with pet treatment, hospitalization, and long-term boarding by the American Veterinary Medical Foundation. The staff has also volunteered many hours providing food and water to tornado victims and rescue workers.
